In the light of the recent orders issued by Sindh IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon, efforts are being made to improve the administrative affairs of the District East police.
The District East police have started complying with orders, and SSP Farrukh Raza have posted 20 additional SHOs to all police stations of the district.
He said that in the administrative affairs of the police stations, where the SHOs and head constables play an important role, the additional SHO performs important tasks. In this regard, he took an important decision and issued posting orders for additional SHOs to all the police stations of his district.
In the second phase, additional SHOs who are judged better performers and meet the criteria designed for SHOs will be given priority in SHO postings.
SSP Raza said they are trying to improve policing on a daily basis, and it is hoped that these steps will improve the safety of the life and property of the public in District East.
Earlier, Sindh IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon had during a meeting ordered reinstating the Task Force against Gutka and Mawa and narcotics and said that if an intelligence report given by the Special Branch against such crimes is proved wrong, then the person giving the IRs will be dismissed from service immediately.
If organised crime and drug dens are active and if their report is not given, strict departmental action will be taken by holding the SSP and the SHO concerned responsible because there is no scope for black sheep in the police department.
He emphasized that all SSPs would ensure their presence in their respective government offices from 10am to 2pm, and during this period, they would not only hold scheduled meetings with members of the public but also ensure timely redressal of their grievances and problems.
He said that the process of free registration of FIRs should be made truly active and people-friendly; otherwise, the area SHOs and others will have to face departmental action.
Memon instructed the SSPs not to give show-cause notices to SHOs over petty crimes. He further said that like the notification of appointments of SHOs, notifications and orders should also be issued for the appointment of additional SHOs, whose purpose is to determine the responsibilities of the area supervisory in the absence of SHOs.
