Relief package for families of employees of ETB announced

The ETB chairman has also issued a communication to the employees in this connection

ISLAMABAD: Federal Secretary for Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Attaur Rehman, on the recommendation of Evacuee Trust Board (ETB), has announced a relief package for the families of employees in case of their death during services.

The ETB chairman has also issued a communication to the employees in this connection.

As per relief package, the families of employees from BPS-1 to 4 in case of death will get Rs600,000, from BPS-5 to 10, Rs900,000, from BPS-11 to 15 Rs1.2 million, BPS-16 and BPS-17 Rs1.5 million, BPS-18 and BPS-19 Rs2.4 million while families of employees of BPS-20 and above (in case of death of employee) will be paid Rs3 million.

In view of length of service, there will be 100 percent family pension, an official residence will not be vacated till the date of retirement of deceased employee. The family members will also get free health facility.

The ETB will also pay fee and provide books for children of deceased employee while his or her children would be given employment on contract from BPS 1 to 15.

The ETB will also release Rs0.8 million marriage grant for a daughter of deceased employee while remaining amount of Housing Building advance will also be waived off.
