Moosvi claimed that there was no sectarian conflict in any country including Yemen. Declaring the war of Iranian and Saudi Arabian interests and American detestable game is an enmity towards Islam. It is stupidity and a colonial agenda that needs to be thwarted, he added.
The Shia leader said the rulers and politicians have no interest is safeguarding the sanctity of the holy places and whatever they were doing was just to watch each other’s interests in their personal capacities.
He said Iran and Saudi Arabia should change their policies and for God’s sake they should not turn Muslim states into a battlefield for their own war.
Moosvi said the government damaged the image of Pakistan by supporting the attack on Yemen. The Pakistan Army is the army of Islam and no one could dare challenge it, he added. He regretted that the rulers were staining the army by committing mistakes.
He urged the government to send delegations to Saudi Arabia and Iran to resolve the issue and save the Muslim Ummah, instead of becoming a party to the war.
Moosvi said the government assertion of supporting war on Yemeni rebels was illogical. If the Saudi Arabia has supported Pakistan during its hard times, Iran has always stood by it practically. Iran was the first country to recognise Pakistan after its creation. It provided Pakistan petroleum products free of cost during its wars. During the 1971 war, the US only made hollow promises of sending its warship in support of Pakistan, but Iran provided it weaponry direly need at that time.

They alleged that joining Saudi coalition was personal decision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and not of the Pakistan Army. They said the prime minister was using Pakistan Army to pay back the favours Saudi Arabia had extended to him.
They also warned that crushing Huthi rebels would amount to strengthening al-Qaeda and ISIS against which Huthis were considered to be a counter force. They criticised Riyadh for intervening in internal affairs of Yemen on vague request of deposed president Hadi Mansoor, adding Riyadh had a legacy of worst human rights violations and he had no moral and legal justification to attack Huthis.
Other leaders present on the occasion included Iqbal Kamrani, Asad Abbas Naqvi, Dr Amjad Hussain Chishti, Abid Ali Bukhari, Dr Noorul Mustafa, Pir Ijaz Chishti, Asif Bukhari etc.
Pakistan Sunni Tehrik chief Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, addressing reporters at Gojra at the shrine of Pir Syed Shah Sawar Shah, opposed the government decision to send armed forces to Yemen, in support of Saudi Arabia.
