RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Gen Raheel Sharif on Thursday attended the inaugural session of the scientific symposium held at the Army Medical College and appreciated the services rendered by doctors and paramedics of the Army Medical Corps during war and peace.
In his address, the COAS said that the courage, determination and spirit of sacrifice displayed by the AMC in the war against terrorism particularly during operation Zarb-e-Azb was highly commendable. He said the enormous contributions made by AMC in the management of the temporarily displaced persons were praiseworthy, according to a press release issued here.
He made special note of the Army Medical Corps’s commendable contributions in national emergency situations including disasters as well as humanitarian campaigns.
