Golden Gymkhana trounce Taj Sports

KARACHI: Golden Gymkhana thrashed Taj Sports by 104 runs in the KCCA Zone VI Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament here at the Afza Ground on Friday.

Batting first, Golden Gymkhana posted 259-6 in the allotted 35 overs. Taqaddus Ali played an impressive innings of 79 runs. Muhammad Tufail captured a four-wicket haul.

Taj Sports were bundled out for 155 runs in 20.4 overs. Muhammad Naimat (65) was the top scorer for the side. Asghar Ali and Majid Ali took three wickets each.

At the Sakhi Hassan Gymkhana Ground, Orangi United Cricket Club overpowered Qasba Sports by 57 runs. Orangi scored 264-9 in 35 overs. Afzal Aziz (59) and Ehsan Ali (55) batted well. Aimal Khan took three wickets.

Qasba Sports were all out for 207 runs in 32.2 overs. Amir Khan made 50. Ayaz Qadri and Waqas Ahmed bowled lethally and captured four wickets each.
