Chamankot ATM

Why is there no ATM in Chamankot, District Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir? As far as I am aware, this central village, located in a densely populated area, has no ATM and is facing several problems as a result. The people of the village and several adjacent towns and villages have to travel to either Dhirkot or Kohala, which are around eight to sixteen kilometres away, in order to withdraw cash for day-to-day expenses.

There is a commercial bank branch in the area but, despite several requests, it has yet to introduce ATM facilities for the local residents. It is hoped that other commercial banks can fill the vacuum and that the SBP will play a role in encouraging greater access to financial services for local residents.
