Queen Camilla is headed for a week-long holiday after a hectic last month full of royal engagements and the cancer diagnosis of her husband, King Charles.

The Queen Consort will be flying on a private jet on Sunday for an brief overseas trip, a source told The Mirror.

The vacation comes after the royal took on a major task of leading the memorial service for King Charles’ second cousin, King Constantine II, the last king of Greece, at the Windsor Castle on Tuesday.

She was also leading the Thanksgiving Service at St George’s Chapel, which sparked some controversy over Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s key presence.

Royal experts also expressed their concerns over who is in-charge as the royals navigate through a health crisis in the family.

At the major event, Prince William also bowed out just an hour before it commenced owing to a “personal matter” that he had to attend to. This meant that Queen Camilla was the only core working royal left to lead which was then followed by Princess Anne and then the disgraced Duke of York.

“This will raise the question of who’s in charge at such a vital time and with so many key royals out of action,” royal expert Ingrid Seward opined.

Camilla has carried out 13 official engagements since last month. She has carried on with her own diary and attended events solo where she was due to have been with the monarch.
