A sessions court has indicted four rights activists in a case pertaining to allegedly abetting mutiny. Saeed Baloch, Nasir Mansoor, Abdul Wahab Baloch and Illahi Bux Bikak were booked by the Artillery Maidan police after they organised a rally outside the Karachi Press Club on December 23 in solidarity with Baloch protesters.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (South) Ihsan Ali Malik read out the charges against the accused, who turned up on bail. They pleaded not guilty and opted for trial. The judge then directed the prosecution to produce its witnesses on the next date of hearing to record their testimonies and adjourned the hearing until March 9.

According to the FIR, the four men, along with 240-260 others, staged a protest demonstration outside the press club and chanted slogans against forces.
