WASHINGTON: The US on Monday reiterated its call for probe into any possible electoral irregularities in Pakistan. “We wanna see government move forward in a way that reflects the will of the Pakistani people,” the state department spokesperson Matthew Miller said, emphasizing that when it comes to investigation into reported irregularities, the US wants to see those investigations proceed and “wrapped up as soon as possible.”
Responding to a question during the daily briefing, the spokesperson stated that the formation of a new government was a Pakistani process led by Pakistanis. “We are not a party to it,” he said declining to comment further.
