The ongoing political chaos in the country points towards an alarming situation. No political party managed to bag a simple majority in the general elections and quickly from the government. This is not a new or surprising trend in our national politics.
In the past, coalition governments have been formed where the government’s partners were able to exert considerable pressure despite having only a small number of seats. This may well happen to the next government too.
