The ongoing project to extend the expressway from Gulberg to Kak Pul in Islamabad, while commendable, the deep excavations being made by the contractors might become big pools of dirty water if it rains. This will have a detrimental impact on the residents of nearby housing societies.
Additionally, the expanded Expressway is also endangered as pools of water beneath the roadbed can pose serious risks. The authorities should personally visit the construction site and take immediate action to stop this excavation process forthwith.
