ISLAMABAD: The second round of joint meetings of coordination committees of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) ended on Thursday with some progress on key issues on the formation of governments. It decided to hold another session on Friday (today) to finalise the recommendations after consultation with the top leadership.
The second round of talks between the two committees continued for a few hours and then leaders took a break to consult the top leaderships of the respective parties.
Later, the PPP political coordination committee met party Chairman Bilawal-Bhutto Zardari and briefed him on talks with the PMLN committee.
The PPP committee members again held a session with the PMLN committee, though no final decisions were taken on Thursday. Both the committees decided to take their leaderships into confidence and hold the third round of talks on Friday (today) to finalise the recommendations.
The PMLN committee comprised Senator Ishaq Dar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar and Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, while the PPP committee comprised Murad Ali Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Saeed Ghani, Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehar, Nadeem Afzal Chan and Shazi Khan.
