KARACHI: Pakistan’s chess champion Mahmood Lodhi stood second with the last game to be played against Grand Master Amonatov Farrukh of Turkmenistan in Tashkent.

In an impressive run of victories over his Grand Master rivals, Mahmood has already put to sword the Super Grand Masters Kazhgalayer Murtas from Kazakhstan and Barov Alexei from Uzbekistan.
