A rally of an array of heavy motorbikes, organised by the Sindh Tourism, Environment and Climate Change Department, rode off towards its destination from the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Friday morning.
Over three dozen riders flaunting different types of heavy motorbikes are participating in the rally, which is aimed at promoting tourism in the province by drawing attention of the people to its scenic beauty and heritage sites.
Moreover, special children from Karachi also participated in the opening ceremony of this event and were seen enjoying a lot.
The rally will pass through Karachi to Bhambhor Fort, Thatta, Badin, Naukot, Mithi to Nagarparkar and Rampur Dam. At present, the Thar Off Road Bike Rally has reached Thatta via its designated routes.
Chief guest Arshad Wali Muhammad said at the inauguration of the event that such events are eco-friendly and have a good effect on our young generation.
He thanked the motorbike groups participating in the event and sponsors of the event, especially the Sindh Development Tourism Department and Thar Foundation and DHA City.
