Aseefa terms PPP’s manifesto ‘people-friendly’

SUKKUR: Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, daughter of former prime minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, on Tuesday visited Badin in connection with the PPP’s nationwide election campaign.

Upon her arrival, she received warm welcome, while a large number of women also participated in the PPP leader’s rally in Badin.

Addressing the gathering, Aseefa said that Badin has always been a stronghold of the PPP. She said that the PPP gave hospitals to provide quality treatment and schools for education to the people of Badin.

She said that the PPP has presented a poor-friendly and people-friendly manifesto. “If we wish for Pakistan to tread the path of development, then we have to strengthen the hands of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari,” she expressed.

“We promise to make the people and poor workers of the country prosperous,” Aseefa said. She added that according to the party manifesto, 300 units of electricity will be provided free of cost to the deserving citizens through solar power. “We promise to issue the ‘Benazir Kissan Card, Benazir Mazdoor Card and Benazir Youth Card’ and regularise temporary housing and give ownership rights to the women.”
