NOWSHERA: A child was killed and two women sustained serious injuries when a mortar shell exploded inside a house in Amangarh area in the district on Saturday.
Naila, a resident of Amangarh, told the police that her son Ahmad Umar, 5, had brought a shell home.
She said that he was breaking the shell when it exploded. Ahmad was killed on the spot while Naila and her sister-in-law Shahida sustained serious injuries. Upon receiving information, the Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and shifted the body and injured to the Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex.
