The report highlights allegations of extrajudicial killings and crackdowns on freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, with critics and human rights activists facing raids and arrests based on dubious accusations of terrorism.
On January 5 2023, Kashmiris globally observed Right to Self-Determination Day to bring attention to their plight, yet this seems to have had no impact on the Indian government. Organizations like the United Nations should heed the voices of Kashmiris and work towards securing their fundamental rights, including their right to self-determination.
