ISLAMABAD: The international media is keeping a close eye on the recent situation of tension between Pakistan and Iran and is engaged in analyses and comments keeping their own points of view and priorities in front.
After Pakistan responded to the Iranian aggression, the media around the world covered the news with headlines and extraordinary importance, but most of the media accepted the Pakistani position as correct. Since there is no history of tension between Pakistan and Iran, this kind of tension came forth for the first time between the two countries.
The international media, including the Israeli media, paid special attention to this issue. In its report, the leading Israeli broadcasting organisation the Jerusalem Post expressed surprise as to why Iran preferred to escalate tensions with nuclear-powered Pakistan on this occasion. The broadcasting organisation wrote in its comment that Iran apparently does not have enough strength, power and army to compete with a country with nuclear power like Pakistan, but it is beyond understanding why Iran thought it important to increase tension. The commentary said that Iran has preferred to increase tensions not only with Pakistan but also with other neighboring countries and opened new frontiers for itself if looked at the last few years.
According to the broadcasting organisation, Iran is doing the same thing in the Kurdish-majority region of its neighboring country, Iraq, while it has also increased the conflict with Afghanistan, and now why it has given importance to the tension with Pakistan.
According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, although both Iran and Pakistan take action against separatist groups and the two countries can unite on the issue and work against the separatists, Iran preferred tension.
