It is extremely disappointing to witness every day the alarming trend of biking without helmets in Pakistan. Despite being a basic safety measure many motorcyclists, particularly young men and boys, do not wear helmets in our country. This nonchalant attitude towards helmet usage has resulted in the rise of fatalities and serious injuries due to road accidents.
Every day, we witness tragic incidents where bikers suffer severe head injuries or lose their lives due to the absence of helmets. It is crucial for authorities to enforce strict regulations mandating the use of helmets for all bikers. Additionally, awareness campaigns emphasizing the importance of helmet safety must be intensified to cultivate a culture of responsible biking.
