This refers to the letter, ‘Rational approach’ (April 19) by Dr Asghar Tashfeen in response to my letter, ‘Impatient Imran’ (April 17). The writer has stated that people like me believe that Imran Khan was impatient to take over as prime minister by hook or by crook.

In fact, I had asserted the opposite. Imran intends to assume power to bring about positive change in the country. His demand for the prime minister to resign prior to any investigation was, however, not justifiable in view of the prevailing scenario. The prime minister will have to quit if allegations of illicit wealth are established through an impartial inquiry.
