The limited options available to many of our young people are, in my opinion, partly due to the leaders whom Pakistanis entrusted with their future, only for them to forget about the people and pursue their own vested interests. Unsurprisingly, many young people see no future for themselves in Pakistan and are making a beeline to leave the country as quickly as possible. If we want our country to succeed and become just as developed as the Western countries we need to work hard for our country’s welfare.
It is wrong for us to only blame our country’s decline on the government alone when we also share an equal part in this downfall. We need to let democracy flourish and political institutions assert their role. Our young people must also realize the power of honesty and fair governance as they will be the next leaders of this country and the country’s future will be in their hands. Pakistan has a long way to go before it achieves success and the people of Pakistan will have to sacrifice a lot for their country.
