In 2021, the price of DAP – diammonium phosphate (a common fertilizer) – was approximately Rs4,500-5,000 per 50-kg bag.
However, the price has now increased to Rs15,000-16,000 this year. Consequently, farmers and landowners are facing more difficulties due to this price hike. The government should take steps to reduce the prices.
