ISLAMABAD: Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah on Thursday exempted former prime minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi from attendance in the non-Shariah marriage case.

The judge heard the case against the PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Complainant Khawar Manika’s lawyer Rizwan Abbasi appeared in the court and said, “We have four witnesses in this case whose statements can be recorded on the same day; therefore, we should be given a date regarding the production of witnesses”.

Salman Akram Raja, on behalf of Imran, and Usman Riaz Gul, on behalf of Bushra Bibi, submitted a letter of representation. The court adjourned the hearing till December 18.
