HYDERABAD: Parents and relatives started searching for three children on Wednesday evening after they did not return home from the house a neighbour in the Qasimabad area.
The parents and relatives reached the police station and told the police the children had gone missing and might have been kidnapped. After the news of the disappearance of the children went viral on social media, SSP Amjad Sheikh took notice and issued orders for action to find the children. Despite the passage of a 24 hours, no progress had been made till Thursday night.
A petition was filed in the Sindh High Court Circuit Bench, Hyderabad, over the alleged abduction of three children -- Bushra, Alishba and Hasnain -- by a female tutor from the limits of the Nasim Nagar police post.
The Sindh home secretary, IGP, DIG Hyderabad , SSP Hyderabad, SHO Qasimabad Police Station, Incharge Police Post Naseem Nagar and the teacher have been made parties in the petition.
Five-year-old Saeed Khan alias Hasnain, son of Nizamuddin Alamani, six-year-old baby Alishba and four-year-old baby Bushra bint Imamuddin have been declared kidnap victims in the petition.
The writ petition said a woman introduced herself as Najma Khoso, a resident of Jamshoro Road, PPHI Hospital, Hyderabad, which is an unconfirmed address. The woman came to the petitioner’s house a week ago and offered to tutor the children. She said she also tutored the children of the petitioner’s neighbours. After this, teacher took the children from the petitioner’s house to the neighbour’s house and taught them for three days.
On the fourth day, 13th December, she took the three children from the house of the applicant for tuition at 2pm, but the children did not return home at the appointed time of 4pm. So the petitioner went to the neighbour’s house and found out that the teacher did not come for tuition on December 13. On seeing footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area, it was found that the woman took the children away in a rickshaw.
After the incident, the Nasam Nagar police post was immediately contacted and requested the incharge to recover the children immediately. After hearing the arguments of the petitioner’s counsel, the high court issued notices to the parties and adjourned the hearing till December 26.
