Sixty-six personnel of the Anti-Encroachment Force recently finished a four-week 'Anti-Riot Drill and Weapon Refresher Course' at the Special Security Unit (SSU) Chowkandi Headquarters.
The SSU spokesperson revealed that professional instructors led the training, covering mob control, weapon handling, shooting, self-defense, and martial arts techniques.
At a ceremony held at the headquarters to mark the course's completion, DG Anti-Encroachment Sindh Zahid Ali Abbasi presided as the chief guest. The event was attended by Director Anti-Encroachment Sindh Raja Tariq Hussain, Secretary Revenue Sindh Dr MB Dharejo, and Deputy Commissioner Malir Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Saeed Laghari.
Abbasi congratulated the personnel, emphasising the significant role the training would play in enhancing their effectiveness during field operations. Both the DG anti encroachment and secretary revenue Sindh expressed gratitude to SSU's administration for providing valuable training. SP Chowkandi Malik Muhammad Qasim highlighted that SSU instructors equipped the Anti-Encroachment Force personnel with modern techniques, enhancing their technical capabilities for handling anti-encroachment operations.
