KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan on Friday directed 15 authorised banks to keep some branches open over the weekend to help pilgrims pay fee for the Hajj 2024.
The SBP said in a statement that the designated branches would be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday across the country.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has given 15 banks, including National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank, United Bank, MCB Bank, Allied Bank, Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, Faysal Bank, Askari Bank, Bank Al-Habib, Habib Metropolitan Bank, Soneri Bank, Meezan Bank and Bank Islami, the authority to collect application forms and dues from pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj from Nov. 27 to Dec. 12.
