Impatient Imran

This refers to the letter, ‘Imran the PM’ (April 16) by Hameed Akhtar Niazi. One agrees with the writer that Imran Khan should have waited for the outcome of the inquiry promised by the government before demanding the resignation of the prime minister. However, one must remember that people in Iceland, the UK and Ukraine came out on the streets soon after the release of the Panama Papers and demanded the resignation of their leaders. That never happened in Pakistan and someone had to step in to call for accountability.

A large number of people do not think that Imran’s mission is to grab power by hook or by crook. He is too impatient to bring about positive change in Pakistan. He should act wisely and show some patience so as to realise his goals.
