Authorities say that 20 people have died of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever this year in Pakistan. Reports say that 12 healthcare professionals are being treated for the disease in Karachi and the condition of four of them is said to be serious.
The development of a vaccine to protect people from this disease, which has already ravaged many countries, is paramount.
