BAHAWALPUR: Seven members of a family died in an accident on the Lodhran-Bahawalpur Road near the Empress Bridge in the limits of District Lodhran on Thursday evening.
According to Rescue 1122 and police, the family was traveling on a bike-rickshaw to attend a wedding in Bahawalpur from Lodhran.
The rickshaw was struck by a speeding lorry while overtaking another vehicle. As a result, a man, his wife, son, daughter and relatives died on the spot while five other members of the family were injured.
They have been shifted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur.
