- The Jungle Book (starring Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Giancarlo Esposito) – fantasy, based on Rudyard Kipling’s work, reimagining of the 1967 Walt Disney film; a boy (Sethi) is raised in the jungle with the help of wolves (Nyong’o and Esposito), a bear (Murray), and a black panther (Kingsley).
- Barbershop: The Next Cut (starring Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Regina Hall, Nicki Minaj) – comedy, fourth film in the Barbershop series, sequel to Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004); the crew at Calvin’s (Cube) Barbershop must work together to change and save their neighbourhood.
- Criminal (starring Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds) – action; an ex-convict (Costner) is implanted with a deceased CIA agent’s (Reynolds) memories to finish an incomplete mission.
