RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were Monday killed during intense exchanges of fire with troops in North and South Waziristan districts.

The first engagement occurred in the general area of Asman Munza in South Waziristan District, where the troops effectively engaged the terrorists. During the exchange of fire, one terrorist was gunned down, while one sustained injuries, says the ISPR in a statement.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Sajid Azam, 31, from Kotli, Azad Kashmir, was martyred.

In another intense exchange of fire in the general area of Miran Shah in North Waziristan District, one terrorist was killed, while Sepoy Waris Khan, 27, from Karak District of KP, embraced martyrdom. Sanitization is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
