Poems forever

I felt a Funeral, in my Brain

By Emily Dickinson

I felt a Funeral, in my Brain,

And Mourners to and fro

Kept treading - treading - till it seemed

That Sense was breaking through -

And when they all were seated,

A Service, like a Drum -

Kept beating - beating - till I thought

My mind was going numb -

And then I heard them lift a Box

And creak across my Soul

With those same Boots of Lead, again,

Then Space - began to toll,

As all the Heavens were a Bell,

And Being, but an Ear,

And I, and Silence, some strange Race,

Wrecked, solitary, here -

And then a Plank in Reason, broke,

And I dropped down, and down -

And hit a World, at every plunge,

And Finished knowing - then -

Utter oblivion

By Saba Sheikh

You come as you want;

You leave as you please,

All I'm left with is;

the deep-rooted ache,

Wrenching away

the resilience;

Of my heart,

Vessel by vessel

Yet, see how skilfully;

I conceal my blistering skin aflame,

Hiding the charred flesh underneath,

Burning evermore in your presence,

I sewed my shredded flesh together,

To keep me from falling to pieces,

While I laugh with you

I seal the sheaths of my raw wound,

Bleeding freshly every time you come,

Still, I bandage it every time you leave,

I weave my suffering into words,

A pain almost as deeply profound;

As your utter oblivion of my emotion.

Hope

By Abeer Sarwar

Countless tears, breathless nights

Days when your inner voice fights

Your very existence becomes heavy

And the appearance gets shabby

Life has ripped you open

Worries have left you broken

But o’ survivor now is the time

Set straight your life’s rhyme

Do not ever give up

Focus on filling your cup

You still have years to see

Joys and dreams to spree

Hold on tightly to hope

For hope is your best rope

Tie your knots tight

Set your vision right

The limit is beyond the sky

Higher and higher, it’s time to fly

Fear not, despair not

Let your sorrow and mistakes rot

Each day is a call to start fresh

keep going and building your dream mesh.

A swipe in sciamachy

By Syeda Areesh Zahrah Rizwan Tirmizi

Depression, anxiety, sorrow and stress

Anger, jealousy, pain and regrets

Misery, malice and grief-stricken-ness

All of us 've faced these pointless threats

Destroying our harmony into tiny blebs

I ask myself, "what are these trends?"

A certain combo o' negative blends?

Or something beautiful inside dwells?

For sure my friend they've genuine strikes

But good are those who positively deals these uninvited clients

They are not a malice but guides from the aside

Each has been sent as a message of success, clearing you out for some new delight

So be content and honourably invite

Take a deep breath, sustain and don't dull your smile

As for the positive souls they are motivation and dignity divine

Because being positive is the side-effect of handling the negative strife.
