Designer Deepak Perwani has made the fashion industry proud, time and again. Whether it was his showcase at Milan Fashion Week, back in 2010, or him winning the title of the Sixth Best Designer in the World at the Bulgarian Fashion Awards, Perwani is one of the rare designers who’ve put Pakistan on the global map with their creative talent.
In what is his fourth outing in an international publication, the designer’s famous collection from FPW 2013, Frida Kahlo goes to Kharadar, has been featured in a fashion book by Susana Martinez Vidal, titled, Frida Kahlo: Fashion As The Art Of Being. This is the second time luxury publishing house Assouline has selected Perwani’s collection for their book. Earlier, they featured the collection in a coffee table book on the legendary Mexican painter. This second title is also a vibrant tribute to Kahlo.
Perwani, who recently showcased a stellar collection at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, much to everyone’s delight, has earlier been featured in The Trends Book 2010-2011andThe Embroidery Book and the Atlas of Fashion Designers.
