T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are still going strong despite the odds

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes's headline-making PDAs were getting steamy each passing day since their outing from the Good Morning America.

Now, a tipster tattled to the PEOPLE that the scandalous duo has opted for a low-key phase in their relationship.

The once-colleagues are "still together, happy and trying to lie low", adding, "It seems like for a while they weren't bothering with that," the insider referred to the duo's PDAs since their exit from Good Morning America, "but now they are making a concerted effort."

"They're still getting paid by ABC so they're not worrying too much about their next steps yet, though they have floated some ideas for next projects and taken some meetings," the source added.

"Amy's so talented, and this whole year and how everything has played out has been a shock to her."

In other news, Holmes and Robach's romance is going as strong as the winds, but the latter's estranged husband, Andrew Shue, may finally move on for good.

The anecdotal evidence was provided by Shue's superstar sister Elisabeth Shue as she happily told Page Six, "He is awesome," adding, "he is doing really good."

This seemingly emotional detachment from the Melrose Place alum was preceded by strong stiffness between the former couple.

As the 56-year-old was left to tolerate his anchor wife's alleged cheating and later constant PDAs of her with a new lover.

"It's like being a member of a very small, exclusive club," an insider snitched to Us Weekly.

"After Amy was caught cheating, almost everyone associated with the show reached out to Andrew. He's a good guy, a class act."

"He doesn't dump his friends. He holds on to people — which makes what Amy did to him worse!"
