‘Rights of all religious communities to be protected’

Felicitating the Hindu community onHoli, the Sindh governor and chief minister reiterated the government's commitment to protect the rights and freedoms of every minority community of Pakistan.

In hismessage issuedon Wednesday, Governor Ebadlauded the role being performed by Sindh'sminority communitiesfor progress of the province and
nation.

Highlighting the peaceful nature of the Hindu community, he said that Islam too called forequal rights for all and this message must be implemented in letter and spirit.

CM Qaim Ali Shah, on the other hand, attendeda Holigathering organised at the Hindu Gymkhana late onTuesday night.Speaking on the occasion, the CM reiterated the PPP's commitment to ensure protection of minorities' rights.

Hesaid thepublic holiday declared in Sindh on March 24 (today) was in line with the government'svision for equality of all religious communities.
