Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan revealed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has devised a plan to raise a hue and cry over human rights violations in Pakistan on a global scale. The plan involved staging a raid targeting a known PTI leader, during which a rape incident and casualties resulting from gunfire would take place, he said.

Addressing a press conference after midnight on Sunday, the minister shared that intelligence agencies had intercepted an audio that exposed the PTI's conspiracy to defame the country's law enforcement agencies.

The intercepted conversation outlined the scheme to carry out a raid on the residence of the PTI leader, with the intention of creating casualties through the use of firearms, he said.

The PML-N leader also revealed a second plot involving the commission of a heinous act of rape. The primary objective behind the despicable plans was to maliciously shift blame onto law enforcement agencies, with the purpose to spark international outrage. Rana Sanaullah emphasised that the PTI's aim was to raise the issue of human rights violations on the international level, using this incident as evidence.

In a brief press conference, the minister said the law-enforcement agencies aborted the plot which was scheduled for the today's night. The individuals involved in the conversation were kept under close surveillance, he noted.

He firmly stated that those responsible for the events that transpired on May 9 would face appropriate consequences. It was evident, he noted, that the purpose of the orchestrated drama was to deceive the people of Pakistan.
