ISLAMABAD: The government has released Rs1.4835 billion for various developmental projects of the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms Division under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2015-16, against the total allocation of Rs7.787 billion for the current financial year.
According to the latest data released by the Planning Commission of Pakistan, the government released the current fiscal year’s allocated amount of Rs1 billion for the national endowment scholarships for talent.
Meanwhile, a sum of Rs206 million was released for reforms and innovation in the government for high performance out of the total allocation of Rs280 million for the current financial year.
In order to harvest the full potential of trade and business under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the government had earmarked Rs 150 million for CPEC support project in its current year PSDP - it released Rs 60 million.
Under the current year’s development programme, the government released an amount of Rs40 million for development communication projects and Rs20.336 million for monitoring PSDP financed projects respectively.
To promote rural economy and alleviate poverty, the government released Rs40 million out of the allocated Rs100 million for centre for rural economy project.
Under PSDP 2015-16 the government released Rs30 million for support and monitoring of higher impact new initiatives of Vision-2025, as it has earmarked Rs 150 million for the project in its current year’s development programme.
