The humiliation at the Asia Cup has exposed glaring flaws in our batting line-up, mainly at the top three. If top-order batsmen do not perform, then how can a team even survive in the shortest version of the game? The selection of Khurram Manzoor was outrageous because he had no experience in playing T20 cricket. He also did not play the PSL this season. Our bowling attack was exquisite, particularly Mohammad Amir, who was a treat to watch, especially his spell against India.
We should make adjustments in the batting order to do well in the upcoming World T20. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shahid Afridi may be a decent option for opening the innings. The Subcontinental conditions could be quite advantageous for us.

Team Pakistan performed miserably in the Asia Cup. One wonders if the standard of cricket has gone that low that those considered minnows in the past are now defeating us.
To clear this mess, the only recourse left to the PCB is to take all decisions on merit. But this seems to be a far cry after one looks at the committee formed recently by the board to probe the Asia Cup fiasco. This is nothing but an excuse to cover up the corruption rotting cricket in the country.
