Butter cookies 250g
Butter (melted) 2-3 tbsp
Egg yolks 4
Sugar ½ cup or to taste
Corn flour ½ cup
Milk 2 ¼ cups
Cream 300ml
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Banana 3 or as required
Lemon juice 1-2 tbsp
Sugar ¼ cup
Water ½ cup
Walnuts (chopped) ½ cup
Whipped cream
Banana slices
* In a chopper, add butter cookies and crush cookies in a processor.
* Add melted butter and chop again.
* Transfer to a serving dish, press firmly down into the base to create an even layer and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
* In a bowl add egg yolks, sugar, corn flour, milk and whisk well.
* In a wok add milk, cream and whisk well.
* Add vanilla essence, mix well and cook until simmering hot.
* Gradually add half quantity of hot milk in egg mixture and whisk continuously.
* Now add whole mixture in remaining hot milk, mix well and cook on low flame until it thickens.
* Transfer the mixture to serving dish, spread evenly, let it cool and refrigerate for 1 hour or until chilled.
* On a clean cutting board, cut banana into slices. Squeeze lemon over them and set aside.
* In a frying pan add sugar, water and cook on very low flame until sugar is caramelised and turns brown.
* On low flame, add cream and mix well.
* Add banana slices and mix well.
* Add walnuts and mix well.
* Transfer the mixture in serving dish and refrigerate until chilled.
* Garnish the top with whipped cream, banana slices and serve!
