MGEW ends

Islamabad: Celebrating youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, the festivities of the Millennium Global Entrepreneurship Week (MGEW) 2016 came to a close at The Millennium University College (TMUC), H-11/4, says a press release.

MGEW is celebrated at TMUC every year in collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Pakistan, Kauffman Foundation, The Indus Entrepreneurs Islamabad, and World Wildlife Fund. The two-day event comprised entrepreneurial panel discussions, a mega fashion show organised by the TMUC Fashion Department followed by a concert.

The second day started with thematic panel discussions to expand students’ understanding of entrepreneurship as an alternative career choice and importance of new businesses to the economy.

The first panel ‘Iconic Entrepreneurs - The Success Stories’ was moderated by president GEW Pakistan Kashif Khan with panellists including Mansoor Malik (WeCreate), Uzma Yaqoob (Forum for Dignity Initiatives), Erum Rehman (Consultancy Ballistic Protection) and Juniad Tariq (Coffee Planet).

The second panel ‘Today’s small idea tomorrow’s big business’ featured budding entrepreneurs - Ali Qureshi (Monarchy clothing brand), Kashif Ali (Naan Stop), Danyal Hayat Khan, Muhammad Abbas (Jacked Nutrition). Pakistan’s first youth musical idol Zamad Baig concluded the MGEW celebrations with an enthralling musical performance to a huge audience of students.
