Filtration plants as per population ratio: PA told

Punjab Assembly was told on Thursday that filtration plants would be installed not in some specific parts, but in the entire province as per the ratio of population in the area.

Responding to a question during the question hour session in Punjab Assembly which was related with Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering, Malik Nadim Kamran, the minister concerned, told the House that the government had decided to install water filtration plants in entire province. He said the perception that the filtration plants were for some specific areas wasn’t true as they would be installed in all parts while keeping view the ratio of their population.

Raheel Sharif invited to JI: During the question hour session, Parliamentary Leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Waseem Akhter lauded the services of Gen (r) Raheel Sharif as chief of the army staff and invited him to join JI in future.

Law, order satisfactory, Samia wasn’t murdered: Rana Sana   

Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah while talking to the media outside Punjab Assembly said that PML-N worker Samia Chaudhry wasn’t murdered but intoxication was the cause of her death. Responding to a question, Sana said an overdose use of drugs was the cause behind the death of Samia Chaudhry.

He also said that law and order situation in Punjab and Lahore was satisfactory, adding that Millat Part robbery accused had been arrested. Police have also traced the killers of actress Qismat Baig, he added.
