and straight dealings.
4) Diversity -GEO encourages its programming to reflect and draw on diversity
of people and culture to reflect life as it is.When portraying social groups, stereo
types should be avoided.
5) Respect for Diverse Audience of GEO -The channel insists that its programming
should be relevant and appropriate for all GEO audiences. The program makers should
be aware of and respect their audience’s often diverse views on what will and will
not cause offense. It is vital to consider the expectations audiences have on particular
programs / services / time slots, while challenging audience expectation in creative
ways.
6) Balance & Tolerance - View Points
of opposing sides are essential for a balanced programming.
7) Independence from commercial interests -GEO neither promotes nor endorses any product, service or company. All references to all products / Services should be
editorially justifiable and there should be no element of plugging.
8) Customizing Products - GEO responds
to the various classes and gender and age groups in its programming,
thereby customizing products.
9) Program Improvement - Programs will always be rating sensitive and reviewed on
a weekly basis for deviations in content and for Improvements. |
