US wants flourishing democracy in Pakistan: Haqqani   Updated at: 2345 PST, Sunday, February 14, 2010     ShareThis story     LAHORE: Pakistani Ambassador in the US Hussain Haqqani Sunday said the US wants democracy to strengthen its roots in Pakistan and wants all the institutions to function within their domains. Addressing a dinner reception hosted in his honour at Governor House here, Hussain Haqqani said the Kerry-Lugar Bill is linked with democracy in Pakistan and if the democratic process rolled back it would lead to massive economic crisis in the country.
