LAHORE: Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab advised President Asif Ali Zardari to repeal 17th Amendment and uphold his promises to enact the Charter of Democracy on the happy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
Talking to newsmen after inquiring about the health of the patients admitted in Gulab Devi hospital here on Sunday, the CM said President Asif Ali Zardari has twice announced to repeal the 17th Amendment, but broke his promises in broad daylight.
‘National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) is the worst instrument to protect corruption in the country, against which Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) had filed a petition, yet took it back due to the presence of PCO Judges in Courts,’
Shehbaz Sharif said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) should resolve their issues with mutual dialogues.
‘I am not aware whether former President Pervez Musharraf is founding a political party in the country or enjoying a party’, he said earlier. |
