KARACHI: Transparency International (TI) Thursday denied the criticism by Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on its report regarding the corruption in Pakistan.
It should be mentioned that Rehman Malik said the TI report is flawed and hence unreliable.
Chairman TI Pakistan Syed Adil Gilani said Corruption Perception Index (CPI) data is elicited from independent and authentic institutions and comprises the surveys conducted from 2008 to September 2009.
Adil Gilani said all the information regarding the modus operandi of collecting CPI data is present on the websites of Transparency International (TI) Berlin and Pakistan.
The annual TI report rates Pakistan as the 47th country in the list of most corrupt countries. |
