PM vows to address Mehsud tribes deprivations

  DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani stated that everyone recognizes Mehsud tribe’s patriotism for Pakistan, Geo News reports Tuesday.

The premier vowed that, “the government will scrape out the sense of deprivation gorged in Mehsud tribe’s mindset.”

The PM addressed a jirga at a relief camp set up for South Waziristan affectees in DIK, he said that future perspectives will open as FATA area will be purged of insurgents.

The PM appreciated Mehsud tribe’s patriotism. He further added that the government will soon compensate the losses incurred in devastation during the military operation in FATA and Malakand.

On this occasion, a Special Support Group arranged detailed briefing for PM Gilani on the relief work for South Waziristan IDPs.

Governor NWFP, Owais Ahmed Ghani, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Hina Rabbani Khar and Qamar Zaman Kaira also participated in the jirga along with PM Gilani.
