MQM remembers Sohrab Goth tragedy |

KARACHI: The 23rd anniversary of the martyrs of October 31, 1986 Tragedy was observed across the country with reverence under the aegis of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Geo News reported Saturday.
According to a statement issued here from the MQM, the gatherings for Quran Khawni and Fateha Khawni were held at party’s offices in Sindh, Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan to commemorate the anniversary of Sohrab Goth tragedy on October 31, 1986.
The central gathering was held at Khurshid Baigum Memorial Hall Azizabad adjacent to MQM’s centre, where Quran Khawni was observed.
The party workers in large number including MQM Rabta Committee’s member including Deputy Convener Anees Ahmed Qaimkhani and City Nazim Mustafa Kamal attended the anniversary. |
