D.I.KHAN: The registration of displaced persons from South Waziritan continues at Dera Ismail Khan, as 5,000 migrants are to be listed today.
These dislodged people are heading towards Dera Ismail Khan, Tank and Bannu, due to ongoing military operation in South Waziristan.
Among these displaced persons 2,000 people will be registered at Tank while the other 3,000 people will be listed in D.I. Khan.
An NGO, Fida is registering the displaced persons, who have shifted at different centers in D.I. Khan.
Today, the registration process at Wensum Housing scheme, Shaikh Yusuf, Mufti Mehmood Hospital, Nai villa and Rang Pur is underway.
Various roads leading to D.I.Khan from North and South Waziristan have been opened for displaced people to enter D.I. Khan.
Law enforcement agencies have taken strict security measures. All suspected persons traveling in suspicious cars will be searched and people are only being allowed to enter D.I.Khan upon producing their relevant documents. |
