N Korea fires five missiles: S Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff

  SEOUL: North Korea fired five missiles on the eve of the US Independence Day celebrations, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

The fifth missile was fired at 2:50 p.m. (05:50 GMT) off its eastern coast to the Sea of Japan (East Sea), it said.
