Honduras rejects OAS appeal to restore president
Updated at: 0855 PST, Saturday, July 04, 2009
TEGUCIGALPA: The head of the Organization of American States says he has found no willingness in Honduras' interim government to restore ousted President Manuel Zelaya. Jose Miguel Insulza says that ``unfortunately, in Honduras the conditions are not there for Zelaya's return.''

Insulza tells a news conference the OAS will decide at a meeting Saturday whether to suspend Honduras from the regional organization. He would not comment on whether that would affect Zelaya's plans to return home over the weekend.

He said the OAS continues to recognize Zelaya, who was ousted Sunday in a coup, as the president of Honduras.
